Glyka Karagiorgou is an accomplished IB educator, Instructional Technology Coach, and ICT leader with over a decade of experience across Greece, Estonia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. She specialises in technology integration, inquiry‑based learning, and strategic ICT development within PYP,MYP and DP contexts. A bilingual professional (Greek and American English), she brings a strong blend of pedagogical expertise, technical fluency, and international perspective. She has been part of multiple accreditation and evaluation IB visits holding a leading role.
Across her roles at the International School of Estonia, the International School of Piraeus and the International Metropolitan School, she has led whole‑school ICT strategies, coordinated 1:1 iPad and BYOD programmes, redesigned learning environments, and coached teachers to embed future‑focused, inquiry‑driven practices. Her work includes creating ICT policies, Responsible Usage Agreements, digital citizenship frameworks, and leading professional development for teachers and parents. She has extensive experience in MYP Design, PYP ICT, Robotics, and STEAM integration, as well as curriculum alignment with IB standards and ATL skills.
Glyka is also deeply engaged in Erasmus+ project development, including partner networking, proposal writing (KA1 & KA2), and embedding international projects into school curricula. Her background includes e‑learning development, G‑Suite administration, Microsoft 365 integration, and managing ICT budgets and infrastructure planning.
A committed lifelong learner, she holds multiple certifications including Google Certified Educator, Microsoft Certified Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE), and training in inquiry, AI in education, and innovative pedagogy. She is recognised for her creativity, adaptability, strong communication and networking skills, and her ability to empower both teachers and students through technology‑enhanced, agency‑driven learning.
Currently she is focusing on research and academic writing in “AI in education”. She aims to obtain a PhD in the field and assist IB students in how to conduct research projects with the help of AI based on academic integrity, authorship and transparency . In addition, she wants to help teachers redesign assignments/assessments that are challenged by AI usage.
